Miranda has over 10 years’ experience in the health public sector. Her experience ranges from environmental health and medicines and poisons policy development and regulatory enforcement, through to health service clinical governance and quality improvement. She has also worked in rural health academia. As a registered pharmacist, Miranda has a sound understanding of the Australian health care system at the local, state/territory and national level.
Miranda is passionate about reducing health inequities, particularly around medication access. She obtained a Master of Public Health (Primary Health Care) to enhance her program development knowledge and skills.
Miranda is currently undertaking a PhD in service model evaluation. The focus of her research is on evaluating the implementation of a new service model, namely the Pharmacists Integrated into Residential Aged Care Facilities (PIRACF) service model being trialled in the ACT.

In high school I was a National Gallery of Australia (NGA) National Summer Art Scholarship recipient
