Her expertise extends beyond clinical work, with experience in education and research, having recently completed a PhD in health professional behaviour change. Through her research activities, Deanna has developed a working understanding of behaviour change science and its impact on improving the practice of healthcare professionals and their contribution to healthcare.

Deanna grew up on a farm in country South Australia and had a pony, Rosie. Although these days she is better known as a crazy cat lady – with her fluffy cats Romeo and Caesar.
